It's been stuck at the "Adding xxxx items" for hours without the number changing at all. Plus, the number of items to add doesn't change either. On my Mac (10.10.3, Photos.app) I figured out there's a process called '' that converts all the videos to a bunch of formats so that when I access these videos from a different device, they can be streamed in the best format (the best ratio between quality and badnwidth).
It looks like it's now even trying to upload my entire photo library to iCloud again - even though it's already there! Using the button "Pause for one day" does nothing except for showing that it's paused but the process still runs. Moinsen, ich habe versucht, meine iPhoto-Library (High Sierra) zur Photos.app (Fotos) unter macOS Mojave zu migrieren, leider startet Photos.app bei mir seitdem nicht mehr richtig. My mistake was probably putting several 100 videos into the shared album in the first place but then I may have made things worse by deleting the shared album, hoping that this would stop the process.Įven several reboots, turning of Photos in System Preferences / iCloud did nothing - process is still running.

After about a day it had only put about 50 videos (probably 60 seconds each) into the shared album and I decided to stop this because I can't have the process max out the CPU all the time - kills the battery and the fans are constantly blasting at full speed. The process immediately started running even though all the videos had already been previously synced and where all in iCloud. In Photos I accidentally added several 100, very short videos to a shared album from my MBP.
